Introducing the Granite State Yarns Mystery Mini Advent for 2026

Remember the cold mornings huddled by the radio or television, waiting for your town to be announced? Then, if you were lucky, the sheer JOY of a day off from school, with nothing but hills to sled and snow men to build! This 24-day yarn advent calendar is filled with soft, hand-dyed mini skeins (or spinning fiber!) in nostalgic bright hues designed to bring you back to those carefree days.

Each day of December, unwrap a new surprise colorway. Whether you’re making socks, scrappy mitts, or just adding a little magic to your stash, the Snow Day Magic Advent is here to keep you warm, inspired, and filled with wonder.

Each yarn miniskein will be a 20g hank of hand dyed sock yarn: a 4 ply blend of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon.  You have the choice of either fingering or DK: fingering weight minis are 92yd, and DK minis are 49yd. If you choose the fiber version, you’ll receive 20g of 75/25 SWM/nylon roving each day.  Each will be individually packaged and numbered. Each colorway will be different, but will coordinate for all sorts of mix-and-match possibilities.

I will also be adding a few small goodies in the packages (think: stickers and candy).

The dyes are set and then washed and rinsed to remove any remaining dye. Minimal bleeding may occur, so I recommend hand washing projects separately in cold water and laying flat to dry. My yarn is hand dyed in very small batches. No two skeins are exactly alike, even from the same batch.
