Arctic Nights Christmas Box
Christmas Shopping for Knitters: Made Easy!
The 2024 Granite State Yarns Christmas Box is a whimsical collection in an arctic theme. It includes knitting accessories, a unique craft suitable for display in your home, and of course: some Granite State Yarns!
The wintry fun begins with a special edition sparkly gold Notions Nook from Fox & Pine Stitches. These handy cases are perfect for storing your stitch markers, tape measures, and other little knitting tools. Speaking of which, you'll be able to fill one of the handy compartments immediately because your box includes an adorable set of Polar Bear Stitch Stoppers! These cute little stoppers fit on the tips of your knitting needles to keep stitches from falling off when in storage. They're super useful and super adorable! If you're using them with smaller gauge needles (like the 0s and 1s we often use for socks), you can stick both needles into one stopper. Voila!
Also included in the box is a Paint by Layers Craft Kit by Our Little Makery. This sweet little kit has everything you need to make a 5" diameter shadow box with a delightful aurora borealis and polar bear theme. Simply paint the layers and glue them together. Paints, paintbrush, and all necessary pieces are included. It's beginner friendly and will take 30min-1hr to make.
Lastly, this listing includes one sock set in the colorway "Arctic Nights." You will receive a 100g/463yd hank of hand dyed sock yarn AND a 20g/90yd contrasting mini. This sock yarn is a 4 ply blend of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon. Note: pictures may show more than one set.
Imagine a cold, dark night in the north. This sock set is my attempt to capture the natural beauty of the aurora borealis. The "Arctic Nights" sock set includes a 100g main colorway full of gorgeous speckles in neon green, blue, and green, as well as deep navy swirls reminiscent of a polar night. The 20g mini has a blend of green and blue speckles.
The dyes were set and then washed and rinsed to remove any remaining dye. Minimal bleeding may occur, so I recommend hand washing projects separately in cold water and laying flat to dry. Please be aware that colors on your screen may not exactly match the colors in real life.
My yarn is hand dyed in very small batches. No two skeins are exactly alike, even from the same batch. If you are using multiple skeins for a project, I recommend alternating skeins (i.e. helical knitting).
