"A Chill in the Hills" Original Painting

This signed original artwork by Lauren R. Cairns has been created with water-based ink.  It is approximately 5x7" and has been matted to 8x10".  A backing board has been included, but has not been framed.

This landscape came about while Lauren experimented with a new medium to her: water-based fountain pen ink.

About the artist: Lauren is the yarn dyer behind Granite State Yarns.  While earning a bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the University of New Hampshire, she obtained a minor in art.  She has dabbled in many art forms over the years, and is enjoying having time to return to painting and drawing.  As with her hand-dyed yarns, Lauren is often inspired by the natural scenes and landscapes around her.
